I used my beamer for the first time yesterday - what a gift. My son, who lives in Wisconsin, gave us this early Christmas gift while we were visitng at Thanksgiving. It's a 100% better than any photos or videos. We have 3 grandchildren there. One is ten months, and the others are four and six years old. The two oldest just had their hair done so they were just excited to show their new dos to their "Grammie". At these ages they just grow so fast and now their "Grampy and Grammie" will be able to see them more often, such as maybe 2 or 3 times a week. What an invention!!!!!!!

Purchased two Beamers around 8 months ago. One is for my daughter and granddaughter in Atlanta and one for me. When my daughter calls in the afternoon, many times it is at the request of my granddaughter (age 2) who "wants to see Nana on the phone". This has given us so much pleasure!!!! We get snapshots and pics over the internet, but they can't compare to seeing our granddaughter "LIVE".

My grandparents used to live in Staten Island with me. I used to always go to my grandparent's house and have a blast. My grandpa made me ice cream soda floats and all of these different kind of desserts. Now my grandparents have moved to Florida in the past month. We wanted to see them all the time, but we just couldn't think of a way to get to do that task. It was almost impossible until I saw an ad in the Fortunoff Magazine. It said that you could see people while you talk to them on the phone. We knew we just had to get them. One day we went to Fortunoff and got the Beamer. My uncle was going to Florida to visit my grandparents, so he gave them the other Beamer.

Now I have the opportunity to see them whenever I want. I see them every night. It's the best thing ever. If someone has a very close friend or relative that lives far away, they should really get the Beamer. They would be crazy not to!

I want to thank you for your product/s. My wife and I have children and grandchildren in Texas and Alabama. We bought a couple of your Beamers that run off the TV. I sent one to my kids and grandson in Texas. I can't express how excited my daughters and 3 year old grandson were when they could see and speak to me over the TV. I have a Vialta Beamer and one for my daughter who lives in Georgia.

It is so wonderful to be able to call and see my grandsons anytime. As one is three and the twins are two, they grow so fast and everyday is something new. I am not missing out on all of it.

I live in New Mexico and she lives in Georgia; I work full time and airfares are never reasonable from here to there. Having my Vialta Beamer allows me to 'visit' with them whenever I want and also lets them see me, so they don't think they have a 'ghost' grandmother. In December, they will be moving to the Hampton Virginia area, so once again, I will not be isolated from them.

Thank you so much for producing a product that is so useful and yet so affordable. I have seen single phones with video capability that are in the $500 price range, and that is just one phone and they are a single unit. With yours, I can place it anywhere and use a cordless phone which is certainly much more convenient. And, with my $500 I get 2 Vialta Beamers - One for each of us!

Our County Court System recently purchased fourteen Beamers to use for a video arraignment system. Prior to the purchase, the police officers were required to bring people arrested on criminal charges before a District Justice for a preliminary arraignment. Sometimes this entailed traveling 40 minutes from one town to another for the arraignment. Officers were spending up to two hours in travel and court time for the arraignment.

This weekend, after putting the system into use, from the time that the District Justice received the criminal complaint at his home until the end of the preliminary arraignment, no longer than 35 minutes passed. During this time the officers were able to keep their prisoner in a secure facility until brought before the Beamer, and also the officers were able to do other work while waiting for the District Justice to have the paperwork ready for the arraignment. This also enables the District Justice to do the arraignments from the comfort and safety of his own home, since arraignments can occur 24/7. This will be a cost saver for the county and the police departments.

Just a short email to let you know that the Beamer 2-pack arrived yesterday (Monday). I'd already bought two US mains plug to Australian 3 pin mains plug adapters, so as per your website it was plug them in and they were up and running in minutes (we have 2 lines in this house, which made testing easy).

Took one unit to my elderly mother's place a few suburbs away, and she was pleasantly surprised with the appearance and compactness of the Beamer. I showed her the Start/Views button, told her what to expect (10-20 seconds of silence while the call was setup), and returned home.

The first call was a success, she was quite pleased to be able to see & speak with us. But the Beamer's best features are yet to be utilised; now I can travel interstate taking my Beamer with me, and be able to make sure she's alright (she's 75, with the onset of Parkinsons disease, and has had recent knee replacement surgery).

We took our second Beamer with us when we went to stay for a week interstate, and found it worked equally well over 500 miles. The ability to see that mum was alright, and for her to see us makes the Beamer an "essential travelling item".

I cannot thank you enough for the peace of mind that this product has already generated. Interstate trips were becoming difficult for me, but Beamer should change all that.

"I want to report another happy user story. I took the Beamer to my in-laws in Croatia in August. My parents in Serbia already had one and they were able to talk to each other on the first try! The interesting fact is that, due to the wars and travelling restrictions in the Balkan states in the last decade, they never met. So this was their first "meeting". It was rather exciting! "Thank God for you guys!!! I saw the Beamer videophone advertised in the Sunday paper, and I couldn't believe it. I was hesitant at first, because at $500 for the pair this is a big investment for my family. But I went online, and I ordered a pair one month before Father's Day as a surprise for my husband.
